Two people were killed while seven others sustained injuries in a horrific gunfight inside a Florida shopping mall, ABC News reported Sunday.
According to the Doral police, an altercation early Saturday at a Miami-area “commercial establishment” broke out and a person pulled out a firearm.
The fight broke out at a Martini bar which resulted in a security guard being shot and killed by the gunman. However, he who was later killed by security personnel in a fierce gunfight.
The incident occurred on Saturday at CityPlace Doral.
One man suspected of arguing with the gunman has been taken into custody, NBC News reported.
The security guard working at the facility intervened during the fight which resulted in him getting shot.
Eye witness Peter Andres Jordan said: “You start hearing shots. And it wasn’t one. It was one after another, after another, after another.”
As per the Miami-Dade Police, they responded to the scene and a gun fight broke out. One officer was shot in “his lower extremity” and seven other bystanders were wounded which includes six men and a woman.
Two of the bystanders were listed in critical condition while the officer was listed as stable after being shot in the leg.
