The consumer price index shows inflation was at 2.9% in March compared to the year before, a slight increased compared to February.

The consumer price index shows inflation was at 2.9 per cent in March compared to the year before, a slight increased compared to February.
According to Statistics Canada, gasoline prices, mortgage interest costs and rent contributed to upward pressure in the inflation rate.
