Amazon India has introduced its first-ever free self-serve product customization feature – “Customise Your Product”. The feature is now available across more than 10,000 plus products from 76 different categories. The feature offers an intuitive customisation experience that provides visual design tools to customers to personalize products. Not just this, it will also offer an interactive product preview option to view the final customised product in real time.
The feature enables customers to personalise a wide range of products including window blinds, blankets, home decor, wall art, signage, furniture, engraved pen, necklace, water bottle, mugs, apparel, jewellery organizer, golf clubs, phone covers, notebooks and many more as per their creative requirements.
With this, Amazon is planning to cater to the evolving personalisation needs of customers, especially the under-served personalized gifting products market. By providing an opportunity to innovate, the platform boosts customer engagement and converts a limited product selection to an unlimited one.
It encompasses multiple options for capturing innovative messages and pictures for expressing a celebration or an emotion. Apart from a wide variety of font styles and colours to choose from for adding/engraving text, the feature also offers an option for uploading precious memories in the form of images and notes and allowing customers to choose from other customizations a seller provides.
Manish Tiwary, Vice President and Country Manager, Consumer Business, Amazon India, said that it will help customers to tailor a product according to their needs.
“As a customer-obsessed marketplace, our endeavour has been to enrich the customer shopping experience by incorporating various innovations. For customers looking to create memorable products (gifts) or tailor a product to fit their needs, our sellers now offer a customization feature within Amazon on more than 10 thousand products. Fueled by the hyper trend of personalized products, we at Amazon India strive to widen the product selection soon,” Tiwary added.
Amazon India’s customise feature: How it works
Customers can identify custom products using the “Personalize it” badge on search results and the ‘Customise now’ button on product pages. In order to customise a product, buyers will have to click on ”Customise Now” before adding the product to the Wish List. Once you click on it, a dialogue box will appear with a host of options including font size, colour of the surface, text and others. After that, add it to the cart and proceed to the Buy buttons to purchase it as usual.
Meanwhile, Amazon India is also back with its annual two-day celebration to ‘Discover Joy’ with Prime Day 2023! It will start at 12:00 am on July 15 till July 16, 2023.
