Additionally, considering the multiple new features introduced with the iOS 17 update for iPhones, it’s possible that this update further stabilises these features.

How To Update Your AirPods Pro Second Generation?
Although Apple hasn’t specified a manual update process, and you can’t initiate it on your own. According to Apple, “Firmware updates are delivered automatically while your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.”
