DMK Minister T. M. Anbarasan reportedly threatened PM Modi at a public gathering. A video circulating on social media shows Anbarasan stating he would tear Modi into pieces

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday criticised the DMK after an incident where Minister T. M. Anbarasan reportedly threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a public gathering. A video circulating on social media shows Anbarasan stating he would tear Modi into pieces.

“As I am a Minister, I am controlling myself, otherwise I would tear you into pieces,” Anbarasan stated while addressing a crowd at an event in Pallavaram, Chennai, on 9 March.

Anbarasan further asserted, “We have seen many Prime Ministers, but none like this ridiculous PM. He says he will finish DMK. Can you?. DMK is not an ordinary party. Many have sacrificed their lives and shed blood for this party. Many have said they would finish DMK but at last they have only vanished. DMK will stand bravely.”

Reacting strongly to the incident, BJP Tamil Nadu unit president K Annamalai condemned the DMK minister for threatening PM Modi.

“With frustration creeping up with the rise in Anti-incumbency in TN, DMK Ministers are going to the extent of issuing threats to our Hon PM Thiru @narendramodi avl. DMK will soon be vanishing from the political space for their constant rants such as these, divisive politics, corrupt nature, affiliation with Int’l drug peddlers, goondaism & misgovernance,” Annamalai said in a post on X.

Amit Malviya, BJP IT cell head, also slammed the INDIA alliance, which includes the DMK, accusing them of aiming to eliminate Sanatan Dharma and those who protect it.

“After Udhayanidhi Stalin called for annihilation of Sanatan Dharma, DMK Minister TM Anbarasan, Minister for Rural Industries, including Cottage Industries, Small Industries of Tamil Nadu, in a public speech says, “If I were not a minister, I will tear you (referring to Prime Minister Modi) into pieces. I.N.D.I Alliance’s agenda can’t be more clear. Eliminate Sanatan Dharma and anyone who is seen protecting it,” Malviya wrote.
