DMK and Congress form alliance for Lok Sabha elections, allocating seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Strategic collaboration for electoral battles
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) on Saturday finalised a seat-sharing agreement with the Congress party, cementing their alliance for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Under the pact, the DMK has allocated 9 seats in Tamil Nadu and 1 seat in Puducherry to the Congress, sources told News18. This move underlines the strategic collaboration between the two parties as they gear up for the electoral battle.
“You all know that under the leadership of CM Stalin, Tamil Nadu is fighting against the divisive forces of the country. The way in which the union govt is attacking opposition states, we are aware of the stare. We know that every day, Modi and the government is trying to attack the pride of Tamil Nadu,” sources said.
