OnePlus 12 launch date in China will be a special occasion
OnePlus on Weibo confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will come in Pale Green, Rock Black, and White colours. Here’s everything you must know.
OnePlus’ next mainline flagship—the OnePlus 12—is expected to make its China debut next month, on December 4, during the brand’s 10th-anniversary. Over the last few months, we have gained a rough idea of what to expect from the phone when it goes on sale—including the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, screen size, and more. But until now, we’ve barely known anything about the design and colors.
As per a new post by OnePlus on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will come in Pale Green, Rock Black, and White colours. From this, we can say the green model has become sort of mainstay for OnePlus, as its OnePlus 11 series, too, came in Eternal Green.
Another recent rumor also suggested that the OnePlus 12 could have a model with a wooden back finish, similar to the Bamboo back panel that was offered with the OnePlus 1, its first-ever smartphone.
OnePlus 12: What We Know So Far
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a QHD+ (1,440 x 3,168) AMOLED display made by BOE. It will support a peak brightness of 2600 nits, making it brighter than some recent flagships, including the iPhone 15 Pro (2000 nits) and the Pixel 8 Pro (2400 nits). Moreover, the display has received an A+ rating from DisplayMate. This panel is called the ‘X1 Oriental Screen.’
In addition, with the addition of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the smartphone should carry on the legacy of past OnePlus models—offering the latest and greatest internals. And, for optics, it should get a triple camera setup with wide, ultrawide, and telephoto cameras on offer.
With that said, when it comes to other specifications, nothing is clear yet by OnePlus and should be taken with a grain of salt until revealed during the official event. Additionally, the global launch of the phone is rumoured to take place next year in January.
