The Pakistan Cricket Board has issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the Sindh Premier League (SPL) as preparations for the first edition of the event are under way.
SPL President Arif Malik along with former Sindh minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah held a meeting with PCB Management Committee Chairman Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf at the PCB headquarters.
In the meeting, PCB issued an NOC for the SPL.
PCB Director Domestic Nadeem Khan and other officials of PCB were also present.
On this occasion, Nasir said the SPL was being organised in accordance with the vision of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, adding that players who never had a chance to showcase their talents should be included in the league.
He stated that the PPP chairman was showing special interest in organising the first provincial league.

“His instructions are not only to highlight the cricket talent of Sindh but also to showcase the culture of Sindh through this league,” Nasir noted.
Ashraf expressed the hope that successful hosting of the SPL would contribute to a new chapter in the sports history of Sindh and would continue to play a pivotal role.
The SPL president considered obtaining the NOC as an important step towards their success. He mentioned that everyone would witness a renewed enthusiasm in their preparations for organising this league successfully.
He acknowledged that while the NOC approval brought joy, it also placed pressure on them to organise the league brilliantly, ensuring that cricket fans could enjoy the best and most competitive cricket.
He said they were thankful to the PCB for appreciating their efforts and granting the NOC.
