British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has removed Interior Minister Suella Braverman from her position in response to her criticism of the police’s handling of a pro-Palestinian march.

According to internationl media reports, the decision comes after pressure from both opposition lawmakers and members of Sunak’s own Conservative Party.

Braverman had published an article accusing the police of having double standards in their approach to protests.

According to the Labour Party, this escalated tensions during a pro-Palestinian demonstration where over 140 people were arrested due to clashes between far-right counter-protesters and the police.

As part of a broader reshuffle, Sunak has asked Braverman to leave the government, a request she has accepted.

According to UK media reports, Foreign Secretary James Cleverly is set to replace her.

In the midst of these changes, there is speculation about the return of former Prime Minister David Cameron to the government, as he was seen entering Downing Street.

Sunak is anticipated to make further adjustments to his cabinet, bringing in allies and replacing ministers whom his office believes have not met performance expectations in their respective departments.
