PM Modi appealed that instead of launching debate or resistance regarding the matter, it is necessary to dig deep into the matter in order to find a solution.
Days after the Parliament security breach episode sparked a major controversy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued his response on the incident and stated that what happened in Lok Sabha on December 13 was a “serious issue”. However, he appealed that instead of launching debate or resistance in the matter, it is necessary to dig deep into the incident to find a solution.
The Prime Minister in conversation with Danik Jagran said that the seriousness of the Parliament security breach should not be underestimated at all and therefore, the government is working towards taking all necessary steps. He added that the investigating agencies are probing the matter and will soon find out the intentions behind the intruders’ motives.
“The seriousness of the incident that happened in Parliament should not be underestimated at all. The Speaker sir is taking necessary steps with full seriousness. The investigating agencies are investigating the matter strictly. It is important for us to go deep into the matter to understand what are the elements and intentions behind this. Solutions should also be found with one mind. Everyone should avoid debate or resistance on such topics,” PM Modi was quoted as saying.
The Prime Minister’s response came after two men – Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D – barged into the Lok Sabha on Wednesday (December 13) and released yellow smoke from canisters, raising concerns over security issues. Meanwhile, two others – Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi – released coloured smoke from canisters while shouting “Tanashahi Nahi Chalegi” outside the Parliament premises.
PM Modi on SC Verdict in Article 370
Hailing the Supreme Court’s verdict on the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that no force in the universe can now reverse the August 2019 decision. He also warned people against politicising the issue and asked them to stay positive.
“Brahmand ki koi bhi takat ab Article 370 ki vaapsi nahin kara sakti, lihaza sakaratmat karya main lagen (No force in the universe can make the return of Article 370 possible now, so get involved in positive work),” the Prime Minister said.
In response to the apex court’s verdict upholding the power of the President to abrogate Article 370, PM Modi earlier on Monday called the move “historic” and asserted that it is not just a legal judgment, but a “beacon of hope” and a testament to the collective resolve to build a stronger and more united India.
