Hasan is also the 22nd bowler from his country to take 100 or more ODI wickets, with legendary left-armer Wasim Akram leading the way with 502 in 356 matches

It’s worth noting that Hasan Ali was included in Pakistan’s playing XI for match against New Zealand, replacing leg-spinner Usama Mir.

New Zealand is in fourth place on the World Cup points table, with eight points. They had secured four wins but also suffered three defeats in their previous matches. Pakistan, with six points, needed a victory to maintain their chances of reaching the semi-finals.
