Following Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the 2023 World Cup, Zaka Ashraf, the head of the PCB management committee, has called for a crucial meeting with captain Babar Azam scheduled for Wednesday.

Furthermore, Pakistan’s head coach, Grant Bradburn, presently in Lahore, is anticipated to participate in the meeting. Meanwhile, team director Mickey Arthur, who is currently in Dubai, will join the discussion remotely via Zoom. Reports from the team director, head coach, and team manager Rehan ul Haq will be presented during the meeting for review by Zaka Ashraf.

The primary focus of the meeting will revolve around a thorough analysis of the team’s performance in the World Cup. Insights from both the captain and the team director, coupled with input from former cricketers, will be carefully considered by the management committee in its deliberations.

Furthermore, a separate meeting between PCB chief and Mickey Arthur, along with captain Babar Azam, is also on the agenda. During this meeting, Arthur may be asked to voluntarily step down from his role. If he opts not to do so, the PCB will be compelled to make a decision on the matter.
